Here on MirageCraft, we try to offer the best Pixelmon experience possible. To do so, certain aspects or features of the Pixelmon mod have been disabled or enabled to benefit your experience, or the server as a whole. In this section, you will find detailed contents of what has been enabled or disabled, and why the server has chosen to do so.

    Keep Inventory (Enabled)

Keep Inventory is a Minecraft setting that allows all players to keep all of their items in their inventory after they die, including experience! Keep Inventory is enabled here to improve the in-game experience for players. It would be really inconvenient, especially in Pixelmon if players had to run all the way back to the location of their death just for their items, wouldn't it?

    Dexing Pokémon Settings

To dex Pokémon for dex rewards you must be the OT (Original Trainer) for the Pokémon to count. The only exceptions to this rule is if the Pokémon is a Legendary, Shiny, or a Ultra Beast.

Legendaries & Their Spawn Messages (Enabled)

We have legendaries enabled at their default rate. More information on gaining legendaries can be found here.

TIP: When hunting for Legendary Pokémon, hunting with your friends doesn't hurt! With more coverage, it is more likely the desired Pokémon will spawn!

    Dialga, Palkia and Giratina

Dialga, Palkia and Giratina all spawn using the Red Chain item and going to the Timespace Altar in /warp TimespaceAltar. You can obtain the Red Chain by either the Ruby Crate, combining the 3 Rubies that Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie provide or from other players. Once you have the Red Chain, You will require either a Adamant Orb for Dialga, Lustrous Orb for Palkia or the Griseous Orb for Giratina. Once you have placed the red chain and right click the orb you want to use on the altar, the respective Legendary will spawn. The orb will be held by the respective legend after you have caught it.

    Cloning Machines (Disabled)

A cloning machine is a craftable machine that can be used to extract DNA from Mew to form Mewtwo. Mewtwo is an extremely powerful Pokémon, which does not spawn naturally. It is arguably the most powerful Pokémon in the whole game! When a player inserts a Mew into a cloning machine, it allows for more than one Mewtwo to spawn in result. The issue is that a single Mew can be cloned up to three times. That means three potential Mewtwos for a single player who has Mew. This would simply make people too overpowered, and make obtaining multiples of such a powerful Pokémon too easy. Due to all these probable issues, the cloning machine usage was removed.

    How to Obtain Mewtwo

There are 2 possible ways to get Mewtwo right now is through the donation store as well as shards (/shards)

    Lake Trio Max Enchants (1)

The maximum amount of times you can enchant a Ruby from Azelf, Mesprit, or Uxie is limited to just 1. This is due to the fact that we keep it default, one set of Lake Trios alone can give you 3 extra legendaries, which is without a doubt overpowered.

    Bell Inclusion Range (1)

The bell inclusion range for Ho-oh and Lugia is set to 1. This means each bell will act independently. Placing bells next to each other will not increase the odds of the first bell, but having more than one bell will technically increase the odds of either one triggering the spawn.

    Extra Dimensions

We advise against building your bases here as the worlds are periodically reset.

The Nether can be accessed via /warp nether and the end with /warp end. These dimensions both have new biomes due to the addition of BYG in 1.16

There is also a Normal Resource world which can be accessed via /warp ResourceWorld

    Generation Mechanics

Overworld uses generation 7 mechanics while the Nether uses generation 8 mechanics. Generation 7 mechanics includes Mega Evolution and Z-Moves and Generation 8 includes Dynamaxing.

    Ditto to Ditto Breeding (Disabled)

Ditto to ditto breeding is disabled due to the fact that this is not even possible in the real games. Plus, this method is easily abusable if you have two almost perfect dittos, as it can be used to get almost any Pokemon in the game without actually having to capture them. Yes, it's still luck-based on what you'll get, but you're able to get tons of eggs and hatch them very quickly in just a span of minutes which still makes this an easy dex exploit.

    Pokemon Riding (Enabled)

Pokémon riding is a feature in the Pixelmon mod which allows a player to get onto one of their Pokémon and fly, swim, or run. A player can ride their Pokémon by looking directly at the Pokémon, then with an empty hand (slot with no item), right click to mount on their Pokémon. While riding a Pokémon, you do not lose hunger, so this is a great way to get around the map.

Not all Pokémon are rideable, however. Some first stage or unevolved Pokémon can not be mounted, but most evolved forms can be. For instance, you can't ride Cyndaquill, but you can ride Typhlosion. Generally, you can tell what Pokémon you can ride based primarily on how they look. For example, if you see an average sized Pokémon with wings, it is likely that you can fly on it.

TIP: ''It is always useful to have Pokémon of each rideable type in your party (swimming, flying, running)! This will prepare you for crossing oceans, flying over mountains, and racing through the deserts.''

    Structures Spawning (Enabled)

Minecraft structures, along with Pixelmon structures spawning are enabled to provide players with the best experience of vanilla exploration mixed with Pixelmon! You can find abandoned mineshafts, strongholds, villages, and more! The only structure that does not spawn are haunted houses due to the fact that the Pixelmon spawners scattered across the world could potentially be harmful to the economy.

    Pickup Ability (Disabled)

Pickup is an ability that has a chance to give you a random item, usually boss drops, each time you win a battle. It is disabled due to the fact that it makes obtaining rare items too easy, rendering bosses less relevant as they are. Aside from that, it can break the economy from all the free drops one can getting with little to no effort.

    PayDay Move Effect (Disabled)

PayDay is a move that allows you to obtain money equal to five times the user's level at the end of the battle, and it stacks per use. It has been disabled due to the fact it is extremely overpowered and can easily break the economy due to the amount of money you can obtain per battle.

    External Moves (Enabled)

External moves are enabled to a certain extent. As long as it does not damage the environment, they can be used. External Moves are actions that Pokémon can execute outside of battle. Most external moves require a certain move to be known by the Pokémon in order to be used.

    Dusk Stone Tools (Disabled)

Dusk Stone Tools, just like any other tools have a special side-effect that comes along with it. Dusk Stone Tools give an invisibility effect and this was used in a way that negatively impacted the server by some people and thus had to be banned.

TMs Accessible for all Generations (Enabled)

Any Pokemon that can learn the desired TM move can learn any generation TM version of said move.

Return Items apon PVP battle (Enabled)

Pokemon's held items are returned apon use in battles. This means single use items such as Gems, Air Balloons and Berries aren't used and are allowed to be reused again.
